  • Thickness and type: 5 mm clear float, 12 mm toughened, laminated, frosted.
  • Processing: edge polish, holes and cut-outs on their own line, or included in the rate. Say which.
  • Aluminium sections by kg or by running foot, with the section name and finish.
  • Hardware and sealant as separate lines: patch fittings, handles, silicone.

Asked often

Questions

How do I calculate glass in sq ft for a quotation?

Multiply width by height in inches and divide by 144. A 24 × 36 inch panel is 6 sq ft.

Should fitting charges be on the same quotation?

Yes, as a separate line, so the customer sees material and labour apart. GST on fitting work follows its own rules; ask your CA.

What is the GST rate on glass and aluminium?

Flat glass, toughened glass, mirrors and aluminium sections are 18%.
