What a good quotation shows
- The word "Quotation", a quotation number and date, so the customer can refer to it later.
- Your shop name, address, phone and GSTIN, with your logo.
- The customer and the site, if it is for a building or a contractor.
- Each item with HSN, quantity, unit and rate, and GST shown separately, so the customer sees the full amount.
- Terms: how long the prices hold, delivery, payment and what is not included.
Tips that win more orders
- Give a validity date. "Valid for 15 days" protects you when rates go up.
- Keep labour and fitting on their own line, so the customer can compare.
- Send it the same day, as a PDF on WhatsApp. The first neat quotation often gets the order.
